Design Ethos + Process

The Bubble Ring explores the beauty of porous natural systems: bubbles, cellular structures, eroded shells, coral growth, and bone-like lattices. Rather than imitating one specific natural reference, the ring translates these material behaviors into a wearable computational object.

Its surface is developed through a digital design process that allows patterns of openings, thickness, and structure to form across the band. The result is a ring that feels grown, not simply decorated. Each cavity becomes part of the structure itself, creating a balance between strength, lightness, and visual complexity.

The ring moves from digital modeling into physical production through high-resolution 3D printing and traditional casting techniques. After casting, each piece is carefully cleaned, polished, and finished by hand, preserving the fine detail of the porous surface while giving the metal a refined shine.

Care

To preserve the finish of your Bubble Ring, avoid prolonged contact with water, perfumes, lotions, cleaning products, and harsh chemicals.

When not being worn, store the ring in a dry place, ideally in its box or a soft pouch to prevent scratches. Silver may naturally oxidize over time, especially inside the recessed openings. This can add beautiful depth to the ring’s texture, but it can also be gently cleaned with a silver polishing cloth if a brighter finish is preferred.

Because this ring contains small openings and raised details, avoid wearing it during heavy manual work, exercise, or activities where it may be scraped, impacted, or exposed to abrasive materials.
